In my years helping churches and ministries develop brands that resonate with their people, I've developed some key insights and strategies that overcome challenges turning mission and vision into a crystal clear visual identity.
With every client, I use this blueprint to custom tailor a brand identity that plays to their strengths and unique mission.
We'll meet to address the fundamental questions that define your church's identity and mission, including things you're probably not thinking of! Then I'll walk you through my church context worksheet and concept-mapping process.
Together, we'll look at moodboards with color and typography which represent a distinct visual style. This helps us get on the same page aesthetically, and gives me a clear target to aim for in Step 3.
With your input as my guide, I'll create multiple logo options that capture the core of your pastoral vision. As we refine this mark, I'll integrate colors, fonts, and a design system that reflects what we uncovered in Steps 1 and 2.
This is the fun part! In this final phase, I'll create a personalized strategy that helps you introduce the new brand to your congregation and update it in all of the key places it needs to live. You can start working on your 20-year plans.
Creative Director, Restore Graphics
There are all sorts of great designers and agencies who could potentially help you with your project.
So why work with me?
As a member of the capital "C" Church, I bring insights that are Christ-centered but not biased or clouded by pressures and prior knowledge from being in your congregation.
In an age where thousands of "personalized" emails flood our inboxes, it’s hard to find an agency (or random internet freelancer) who can work with you directly, as a real person, one-on-one. I limit new clients to only two per month in order to dedicate full focus to your project.
Everything in my process is shaped by years of experience working with churches, all the way down to Sunday-sensitive project deadlines.
Even after a project is over, my clients never worry about being left to fend for themselves. Plus, I guarantee backups of all files, forever.
The promises I'm making here are set in stone. Screenshot them, write them down, and book a call to ask more questions!
When you schedule a call, you'll get to speak directly with Braden, the founder and Creative Director at Restore Graphics.
On occasion, I will partner with a trusted expert to deliver certain components of some projects.
I used to always do three. Now, my answer is, "It depends." If there are a few strong directions that come out of the research phase, I'll present those. If there's only one concept that I feel is the strongest candidate by far, I'll only present that one. If that one misses the mark completely, it means something was off in our research phase and I'll start from scratch. (That's never happened before, but hey, there's a first time for everything.)
Unlimited revisions are included in every rebrand package. I'll keep tweaking and revising concepts until you are 100% satisfied. To help us all avoid an infinite loop, I use a process that ensures I'm on the same page early in the project.
Yes! For any commercial typeface I use in your brand identity, I'll purchase a one-seat license on your behalf so you can start using it right away. This cost is included in the price of every rebrand package.
Great question! The answer is yes, but at an extra cost. If there's something you know you'll want later, tell me up front and I'll create a project package that fits your needs and budget.
The process outlined above is the definitive roadmap to building a strong visual identity for your church. My framework has helped churches all over the U.S. acheive a brand identity that feels like home to their congregation and shows the work God is doing there.
