Christ Redeemer Presbyterian Church

Scope:

For the Glory of God & the Good of the Lowcountry

After years of prayer and planning, the team at Christ Redeemer reached a huge turning point. They weren't just changing their name; they were launching a new congregation in Bluffton and preparing to build a network of churches across the South Carolina Lowcountry. They needed a brand that could unify two different groups while laying the groundwork for many more in the future.

The Challenge

The goal was to create a visual identity that didn't feel like a generic, "copy-and-paste" church logo. It had to be flexible enough to work for multiple locations but cohesive enough to tell one clear story. We had to make sure the brand felt at home in both a permanent building on Hilton Head and a temporary school setup in Bluffton.

The Process

This was a massive team effort. We spent a lot of time at the start just getting the "vibe" right before any actual designing happened. The process was incredibly collaborative—the church leadership was even texting me sketches and ideas as we went.

To help each congregation feel unique, we pulled a color palette directly from their surroundings. For the Hilton Head location, we went with coastal, beach-inspired tones. For Bluffton, we used earthy colors and a specific green sampled from the Spanish moss that's all over that area.

Beyond the Logo

Because the Bluffton congregation meets in a local school, we had to think about how the brand would work "on the move." We developed portable displays that are easy to set up and tear down every Sunday, alongside permanent signage for the Hilton Head building and apparel for the staff and volunteers.

The Results

Since the launch, the Bluffton plant has grown to over 150 people in weekly attendance. Even though they’re just getting started, they now have a foundation for future plants throughout the region. The result is a brand that is beautiful and timeless, but most importantly, it’s a functional tool that helps them focus on their mission.

Braden was excellent. Our rebrand came to life with all of his work — from logos to animations to large-scale signage.

Braden was amazing! He was so easy and all of his work was excellent. His communication was great from beginning to end. He was always willing to make any adjustments and tweaks that we asked. His end products and branding guide were wonderful. It was so cool to see our rebrand come to life with all of his work — from logos to animations to large-scale signage. Highly recommend!
