Grace Presbyterian Church realized they needed to start a new chapter. With recent changes in church leadership, organization, and vision, they wanted a logo and visual identity that built upon and supplemented their mission statement: "For the Gospel of Grace."
Stillwater's leading claim to fame is Oklahoma State University (OSU), which boasts an iconic bright orange color. The small congregation at Grace is made up of many young families and OSU-adjacent people, so color palette differentiation was an imporant consideration.
We landed on a golden brown color paired with navy, to feel warm and welcoming in a context of bright and loud brands.
We worked to make a list of the high-visibility places the logo will live, like on letterhead, stickers, and their website. Then, I developed a comprehensive brand guide to help preserve brand quality and consistency in these varied contexts.
The identity also needed the flexibility to extend across signage, church bulletins, and the church interior. Grace was thrilled to use the new identity as a part of establishing an iconic brand and a powerful ministry in the Stillwater community.
Our leadership and our congregation has loved the new design.
